Tuesday, June 28, 2011 : Lower Deck Patio Party Schedule June 30 - July 2
Thursday: 8:45-12:30 inside the Pub or 8:00-10:00 if it rains.
Friday: 7:30-1:00am outside or 9:45-1:00am inside if it rains.
Saturday shedule is the same as Friday.

Some videos even have direct audio from the LS9, for exception audio quality...all for free! Please leave us your requests and we'll see what we can get uploaded for you. Also, what do you think about the idea of a Signal Hill DVD recorded live on George Street? Just a thought!
Tuesday, June 08, 2010 : Grace O'Malley's Toronto June Show Cancelled due to G-20!!!
We regret that the >$1,100,000,000 security plan for the upcoming G-20 summit in Toronto has forced Grace O'Malley's to cancel our engagement for June 24-26. We are, to say the very least, disappointed as are many Canadians at the escalating costs, published, hidden or in our case, superlative, for this highly anticipated romp in the sandbox by the world's finest aristocrats! If anyone wants to find us that weekend perhaps we might find a street corner to busk, which is about all we might expect to find available at this short notice. We of course, place no blame on Grace O'Malley's and look forward to our next show there in August!
Saturday, July 18, 2009 : Dec 20 & 27 2009 Signal Hill is not at the Lower Deck
Before today there was a program error on the Lower Deck and Signal Hill web site about Dec 20 & 27. Some of us will be home in Newfoundland with family and unable to do those shows. Shameless will be filling in and we'll be back on Dec 28 into 2010. Have a great Christmas!
Friday, March 06, 2009 : "Rocky Road to Dublin" Lyrics
People have been asking for our version of lyrics for this classic Irish tradition song. Like most arrangers of old public domain works, we spent a lot of time scouring the internet for as many versions as possible, before creating our own. The solo section, including the two key visitations were newly written by Signal Hill. The lyrics posted on the "Lyrics" section of this site, represent our interpretation of the versions we've heard over the years. Enjoy!

Tuesday, June 19, 2007 : Live at the Lower Deck III update
We have just approved the final masters for this record. Duplication has started and we should have the CD's in our hands by June 26 (Halifax) and June 29 (St. John's). LLD3 will be available at the Lower Deck shows on Canada Day. The stores will be stocked shortly after the Canada Day weekend. We will keep you posted about any changes. It is by far the best Signal Hill record to date, and we can't wait for you to hear "Live the Lower Deck III"

All this week at the Lower Deck we will be recording "live" songs for the new CD. Come down and get your name on the inside credits. Also...ATTENTION SIGNAL HILL PHOTOG'S!!! We hope to use fan photo's for the majority of the artwork this time. We know there are some really good photographers out there in Hillhead land. If you would like to participate please let us know by e-mail or in person at the Lower Deck.

Sunday Feb. 11, 2007: St. Mary's University Night! All SMU students and alumni of legal drinking age will recieve free cover and one free party gift at the Lower Deck Pub. Hotel and bar staff also get in free. This is our way of saying thanks for 10 years of Sundays at the one and only Lower Deck Pub on the Halifax waterfront. Every Sunday we will be thanking a different College or University. Show starts at 9:45. Join us for the "Best Sunday Night Party on the Planet!"

Sadly due to circumstances beyond our control the Carnival Cruise show has been postponed. Although tickets had not gone on sale yet, we apologize for the inconvenience. They are now looking at April 2008. We will let you know when we know.

There isn't much time left to order Christmas gifts from our store and recieve them in time for the big day. Just in time we have added a whole lotta new products such as thongs, clocks, baby cloths, dog t-shirts, buttons, stickers, Christmas tree ornaments, the list goes on. These items will change without notice so check us out soon!

When you view all dates on our calender you will see that we've added some Ontario shows. Also, you will notice that our open dates are also listed. Friday, November 10, 2006 : Lots of changes daily now, including new lyrics
We are getting close to finished our new web site. It has been designed by fellow Newfoundlander, Mark Fahey, to allow for frequent changes to just about every section. There are a few more photos now and many more to come. Lyrics to our original songs can be found on the "Music" menu. We record every night these days and plan to add some of the songs from random nights to the jukebox very soon.

We're almost finished with our new web site, which means we are able to update much more frequently than before. There will be new photos as they become available. Sunday, September 03, 2006 : Come see Greg's last night with the band!
Tonight at 7:30 we start a marathon patio party show on the Lower Deck Patio that will end at 1:00 am. This will be Greg's last night with the band as has been planned for 4 months now. We wish him all the best and thanks for years of rock and roll.
Thursday, August 24, 2006 : New Shows added for 2006! And a couple of corrections.
Our Calendar has been updated to include two Newfoundland weekends and 3 University shows---Dal, SMU & Acadia. Also, our Toronto week in October has been moved and the Grawood (Dal) show is on Thursday Sept 7 rather than Wednesday as previously posted. Stay tuned for a brand new web site coming in September.
